About Root PT

A clinic built around the care we believed patients deserved.

Root Physical Therapy was founded on a straightforward premise — that physical therapy should feel like genuine clinical care, not a high-volume throughput model. One patient at a time. The same therapist every visit. A plan built around how you actually live, work, and move.

Our Story

A different model, by design.

The standard physical therapy model in the United States is built around volume — short appointments, multiple patients seen simultaneously, and care delegated to support staff. That approach optimizes for billing. It does not optimize for outcomes.

Root Physical Therapy was built as an alternative. Every session is one-on-one with a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy. Treatment plans are individualized, evidence-based, and oriented around the functional goals each patient brings to our clinic.

We are located inside Root Strength, a 9,000 square foot training facility in Georgetown, Seattle. For patients whose rehabilitation involves a return to strength training or sport, the infrastructure for that progression exists within the same building. For patients who come to us for clinical physical therapy alone, the standard of care is the same.

Clinical Principles

What guides our approach to care.

One patient at a time

You are never seen alongside another patient. Your therapist's full attention is dedicated to your session from start to finish.

Continuity of care

You see the same Doctor of Physical Therapy every visit. Continuity allows your clinician to track subtle changes, adjust treatment in real time, and build on previous sessions.

Evidence-informed treatment

Our care combines hands-on manual therapy with progressive therapeutic exercise, grounded in current clinical research. We do not rely on passive modalities or generic exercise prescriptions.

Whole-person approach

A low back is connected to a job, a training routine, a sleep pattern, and a daily life. Treatment plans account for the full clinical picture, not only the diagnosis.
